The 11th Annual Conjunto Music Hall of Fame Induction will welcome new inductees Ramon Ayala, Rogelio Botello Rios, Daniel Garzes, Ruben Garza and Angel Flores.

The awards ceremony will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. After the awards, there will be a dance that goes until midnight.

Ramon Ayala, also know as “El Rey del Acordeon,” will headline the class of inductees. Ayala, who is originally from Monterrey, has been making hit music since the early ’60s. He still performs today with his group Ramon Ayala y Los Bravos del Norte.

Fellow inductee Daniel Garzes, who passed away in 2004, made more than 200 original songs in his prolific music career. Rogelio Botello Rios retired from an illustrious broadcasting career in 2007. His show “Aqui Rogelio” on KGBT Channel 4 earned him a spot in this year’s group. Ruben Garza is the final inductee, after earning much acclaim as the bajo sexto guitarist and vocalist for famed group Los Dos Gilbertos.

Ramon Ayalas real last name is Cobarubillas not Ayala.He took the last name from Don Pedro Ayala becuse it was famous.And he is not el rey de la acordion,there are others better then him like Oscar Hrnandez Pulino Bernal, Steve Jordan,Ruben Vela and others.
