Attractive ladies needed for Monday Night Football commercial

Hey Laaaaadies! If you’re an attractive female between the ages of 21 and 34, head on over to Buffalo Wings & Rings on 10th Street in McAllen. The restaurant will be holding a commercial casting call Wednesday, Aug. 10, and Thursday, Aug. 11, for a commercial to be broadcast d uring Monday Night Football. It’s a paid gig y’all, so it’s a perfect way to get some extra cash.

‘Snot your average kid Search

Has your child done something extraordinary? Little Busy Bodies, the creator of Boogie Wipes, is asking parents to nominate their children for a nationwide contest. Children who win will be featured on their 90-count canisters. The company is looking for “ordinary kids doing extraordinary things.” Parents can enter their children online by explaining their children’s accomplishments. Three winners will be chosen and featured on the Boogie Wipes canister. To enter the contest a photo must be submitted, as well as a story explaining their accomplishment. A YouTube or video clip of the child’s version of the story can be submitted but is not required to win. Each child should be between the ages of 2 years old and 10. Children’s author to appear in Mission

Author Xavier Garza will make an appearance at 8 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Martinez Elementary School in Mission. The Rio Grande City native, who now resides in San Antonio, is a storyteller and artist. He is best known for books “Creepy Creatures and Other Cucuys” and “Lucha Libre: The Man in the Silver Mask,” which won an Honor Book and an Americas Award.

He is currently working on his latest story, “Maximillian and the Mystery of the Guardian Angel,” a bilingual book also focusing on lucha libre. The writer has toured across the country from Arizona to Washington.

Looking for someone to help my kids form their own kid band. They know basics in several instruments, but need more instruction in guitar, violin, piano, drums and singing.
